The fashionable district of Miraflores coexists with the Huaca Pucllana arqueological site, with its great ceremonial plaza and pyramidal structures that once belonged to a religious center during the Inca Empire. In the summer of 2002, this grandious site became the magic stage for the first operistic mise en scene – al aperto, of the famous Verdi Opera, Aida, produced by Prolirica and the finest peruvian tenor Luis Alba. This opera set in ancient Egypt, featured more than 500 artists on stage. The Sound of the Huaca, follows this extraordinary staging of Aida directed by Franco Vacchi and the musical director Pietro Mianiti. This Italians artists will lead us through this fantastic world where these two ancestral cultures will encounter.
